Welcome to Let's Go Bohemian. The hope is that this website will become a valuable and fun resource for anyone who desires to do life a little differently. Here you'll find DIY tutorials about everything from gardening to crafting to caring for your pets. Why call it "boho," you ask? Because the word bohemian is associated with creativity, wanderlust; and generally living your life a bit differently than the mainstream.

There's a revolution going on in society in which man is attempting to get back to pure, uncomplicated, and genuine motifs. You can see this increasingly in the way we eat (and look at food in general), what we wear, and our purchasing patterns as Western consumers. People are beginning to rely more on themselves for what they consume and getting back to nature one urban farmstead at a time.

My name is Keely. I'm a college Freshman who has a long list of hobbies and passions. I love life, my family, my friends, and my faith. It is my firm belief that everyone would be a lot better off if there was someone to teach them to do things themselves! My main trades are that of musician and student, but I am also a lover of plants and animals. Not just a lover of them - but a cultivator. Ever since I was 14 years old, I've avidly maintained several gardens. I've learned a lot through my experience and made it my goal to produce as much sustainable food for my family as I can, and in as many ways that our rental agreement will allow. My dream is to one day own enough acreage to operate a full-fledged, self-sustaining homestead.

How does this make me a bohemian? In short, it doesn't. But, I like to think that the little steps we take in our lives to do things that are creative and innovative are very "bohemian!" Many people are beginning to see that it's time to get away from the mass consumer mentality and begin making and doing things themselves. Those who see this also may find that taking on a project of your own is a challenging but rewarding process. That process is what this blog is all about - with a little bit of flair to style it.

No, this is not just a blog for hipsters or hippies. This is not just a blog for young college liberals who drive in the hybrids that their parents bought for them. This is not just a blog for conservative farmers who have spent their entire life shaping the earth with their minds and their manpower. This is not just a blog for gardeners or animal lovers. The term "bohemian" can apply to anyone; hipsters, hippies, yuppies, conservatives, liberals, farmers, students, workers, parents, and children.

This is a blog for everyone. It will contain a variety of projects you can do that will get the brain juices pumping and your creativity flowing. They're small steps that will (hopefully) help further your journey to uniqueness. Because, well, you are unique! Now it's time to live like it! And you don't have to radically change your lifestyle or pay big cash to change it, either. All of these projects will be blogged about with price and doability in mind.

Basically, this is your everything bagel of a blog. Enjoy it, and don't forget the cream cheese.
